MPM-OCT

The MPM-OCT core combines multi-photon microscopy (MPM) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) on a single platform, which can provide complementary functional and structural information of tissues simultaneously. TPEF can be detected from intrinisic sources e.g., cofactors, proteins and exogenous flurophores, whiole strong SHG signals can be obtained from noncentrosymmetric molecules such as collagen, a common structural protein. OCT detects backscattered light due to the inhomogeneity of the tissues. The integrated MPM-OCT system can image the same sampling volumne with matched resolutions in three channels.
