Animal Operating Room
The animal operating room (AOR) is a full service animal operating suite. The AOR contains a scrub area, animal preparation area and procedure room, surgical suite, and a recovery area. The AOR is approved by the AALAC. Animals for study are housed in the Medical Sciences Vivarium directly behind the Beckman Laser Institute. The AOR is staffed by a full-time animal healthy technician. All animal protocols must have IACUC approval before proceeding, and applicants are strong encouraged to contact the AOR facility before protocol submission or addendums.
